Exmouth, Western Australia, Australia

February 14, 2024

Exmouth is a small tender port in West Australia. During the cold War, it was the sight of ultra-low frequency radio waves used to communicate with submarines. That use continues. They have a nice museum containing local history, an aquarium,  and a natural history room.

Emus were seen, but all I saw was this sculpture.
crested pigeon.
There is a large sports fishing industry. Tuna and marlin. All street lights have a marlin decoration.
Sculpture of a whale shark. This largest fish is found in the area. The pattern of dots are unique to each.
Gallahs are a comon bird here. The range from almost white to this deep pink.
