Slawi Bay, Komodo, Indonesia

February 7, 2024

We stopped here so people could see the Komodo dragons in their native habitat.

It was a short tender ride to a dangerous pier. Weather is always very hot and humid. We are greated by a dragon decorated archway.
Dragons smell with their tongue
A young dragon. The young ones live in trees until they are old enough to not get eaten.
This cycad, Cycas sundaica lives only where the dragons live.
A view of the island as we were leaving.
